It is
situated about 3 kilometers east of Mani majra (Chandigarh)
in the village of Bilaspur. Maharaja Gopal Singh, the ruler
of Mani majra constructed the present main temple of Shri
Mansa Devi temple during the period of 1811-1815. In 1840,
Sh. Karam Singh the then Maharaja of Patiala constructed the
Patiala temple to commemorate his success in the battle
against the Gurkhas. The main temple has 38 panels of wall
paintings besides floral designs painted all over the
ceilings.
The Navratra fairs are held twice a year in the
month of chaitra (spring) and other in the month of Ashwin
(winter). The shrine board makes adequate arrangements for
the devotees who pay obeisance during these Navratra mela by
providing them proper accommodation and medical facilities
etc.
