It is situated at the Shivalik foothills on the bank of
river Ghaggar, is about 10 kilometer east of
Chandigarh. It is a famous religious place of the Sikhs
which commemorates the stay of Guru Gobind Singh ji after
the glorious victory over Mughals in the battle of Bhagiram
in the year 1688.
Guru Gobind Singh ji halted here while traveling from
Paonta Sahib to Anandpur Sahib where Nadu Shah, a follower
of Guru Gobind served him. Guru blesses Nadu Shah that the
place would be known by the name Nada Sahib.
The full moon day i.e. Purnima of every month is celebrated
as a festive occasion and thousands of devotees visit the
holy place.
